Like many watch enthusiasts, my story started with a piece that meant the world to me — a Rolex gifted by my wife for a milestone birthday. After wearing it daily for a year, I looked down and saw it covered in marks: fine scratches everywhere, and one deep gouge from catching a hammer.

I’ve always been someone who likes to solve problems myself, so I thought: surely there must be a way to restore this at home? Yet all I could find were simple cleaning kits — nowhere near what I needed. The alternative was to hand it over to specialists, and after hearing too many horror stories, I wasn’t ready to do that either.

That’s when my journey began. I studied how professionals approached cosmetic restoration and asked myself: could this process be miniaturised into a kit that anyone could use at home? I ordered thousands of pounds worth of equipment, tested every method I could, and gradually reshaped it into something I believed could work for every enthusiast.

Today, Chrono Shine is more than a kit — it’s a movement. By picking it up, you’re not just a collector anymore. You’re stepping into the role of restorer.

What makes me proudest is seeing transformations in the hands of others — from breathing new life into a treasured vintage piece to refreshing a modern favourite for daily wear.
